Bush Hands Over Reins of U.S. Economy to EU
Wednesday, November 19, 2008 2:28 PM

By: Dick Morris & Eileen McGann

The results of the G-20 economic summit amount to nothing less than the seamless integration of the United States into the European economy.

In one month of legislation and one diplomatic meeting, the United States has unilaterally abdicated all the gains for the concept of free markets won by the Reagan administration and surrendered, in total, to the Western European model of socialism, stagnation, and excessive government regulation.

Fascinating, Zack.

I can't find anything on this on CNN or Fox (no surprise) but World Net Daily says nothing I can find, which is a surprise. It's usually right up there. I'll be waiting and watching the next few days.

For starters - newsmax isn't the MOST reliable news source out there!

I'm sure this is one of those - "Believe only a 1/4 of what you see, and 1/4 of what you hear", deals.

Becuase I am sure the Liberal Press would have been all over that like white on rice, if it weret true.

The ridiculous distrust of the news media for goofball stories from a second-rate (and that's being generous) news source like News Max always makes me laugh. I'd like to see where some of these numbers come from, too, that are mentioned in this article.

Don't sweat it, folks. We're not getting closer to ANYTHING.

Ironic. I often find that I can't really trust the corporate-owned media and I prefer to check out alternatives.

This information was on Fox News and was reported by Dick Morris. I think it has some substance.

I have nothing against checking out alternatives. But hack alternatives annoy me. The "corporate-owned" media gets a lot more flack than it truly deserves. And while the mainstream media does have its faults, people's views of the media have been shaped (unfortunately) by talk radio hosts who deem anything they don't agree with as being "liberal" or a "cover-up" to an audience that generally has no clue how the media works.

Actually, we've been near the end since Jesus ascended.

Nothing to see here. Move on.

The thread was sent an invitation to the wrong party. Since it got here, its just been sipping on the punch and eating Chee-toes until someone can give it the right address.

Bush Hands Over Reins of U.S. Economy to EU
Wednesday, November 19, 2008 2:28 PM

By: Dick Morris & Eileen McGann

Isn't Dick Morris the guy who had the prostitute licking his toes while he was on the phone as Cllinton's chief advisor advising Clinton on making decision.

I have heard a lot of his rhetoric, read one of his books, and do not put much stock in his rantings. Morris comes on fox sometimes and he is always trying to come up with somethng new to sell his latest book.

Bush cannot do as the article says, all trade agreements come from and are sanctioned by Congress. So Bush can not do as claimed by Morris and company.

Thanks
RC

Then it is, in a sick way, humorous. Since this sounds like Alex Jones material and people I know who watch Fox News and can't stand Alex Jones.

It's probably a good idea to have an international oversight body examining financial practices from all nations. The economy is becoming increasingly globalized and we're all going to have to play by the same set of rules if we're going to keep progressing. With the increasing economic development in other countries (e.g. China, India, Brazil), our economic power in the world is becoming diluted. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean that we have to shift our approach. In the past, whatever we did, everybody else followed along. Now that other nations are becoming more capable, confident, and assertive, they won't necessarily play by our rules. If we're going to continue to be a strong leader in the world, we need to learn how to cooperate with and open up to others.

-Dan.

Sure. If it's not reported on the MSM, it didn't happen.

Just ask our president-elect.
