I could never put that cake into my mouth if it was the finest purest chocolate! My gag reflex is triggered just looking at it

I just signed up to sell Avon today...this should be interesting. I'll also have a website, so on the off-chance any of you want to order Avon and you don't have someone you order it from, you can do it through my site.

Ad over :P

No, I am all set for now.

Oh my, I am just reminded of an old Saturday Night Live skit with Richard Pryor and the Exorcist. The quote being "your momma eats kitty litter!"

Trish, it's a cake made to look a used kitty litter box...it even uses tootsie rolls shaped to look like cat poop. It's by far the most disgusting "food" I have ever seen! I think Kimmy has a link to a picture a page or two back.

Steve needs to call Kristen so she can surprise Karlie with that cake when she comes home

I am so not happy with the national results for president. People have no clue about Obama and what he's going to do to our country and our economy. Be prepared for another recession like the one during Jimmy Carter's presidency if the tax hikes and spending Obama wants go through, and if he does carry through with his plan to bankrupt the coal industry. If he does that, the cost of electricity will make the high gas prices look like nothing.

I am very happy about Prop 8, I'm praying Norm Coleman wins the recount and we don't end up with a sick man like Al Franken as a senator in minnesota. I'm happy Michele Bachmann kept her seat, I'm very happy that there are enough Republicans still in the Senate to be able to filibuster.

I'm praying that the liberals don't try to get the fairness doctrine back in place, like Chuck Schumer said he wants to do...if that happens, you'll bet they'll be targeting talk radio.

Now the country will see just how well liberal ideals work....they don't!!! Look at Michigan. Look at Detroit. Look at California. Higher taxes ruin the economy and stifle creativity and entrepreneurship.

People either didn't know or don't care about Obama's associations with Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Rashid Kalidi, Louis Farakhan and his poor judgment with foreign policy. Russia invades Georgia and Obama says Georgia should show restraint?????

Obama encourages his supporters to 'get in the face' of people who don't support him. Obama's silence is an assent to intimidation and thuggery.

Obama is a naive socialist thug.

Republicans need to get back to the conservative ideals of Reagan and quit trying to out-Democrat the Democrats.

So there you have my political rant :P

I agree.

And I am happy about Prop 8, too, even though I don't live in California.

They're already taking that result to court (prop 8).

Well, I'm beginning to work on selling Avon this campaign, and next campaign I'll be tossing brochures onto porches in this neighborhood. I really do want to earn some extra money doing this. I'd like to be able to buy myself a laptop.

I plan to send some emails this weekend to friends and family to let them know they can order online and that I can give them a code for free shipping if they have the order shipped directly to their address. I can earn 50% on these first 4 campaigns, so I'm hoping to make the last two of the year big ones.

I hope I can earn some extra money doing this!

Hi Kimberly!

That's it in a nutshell.

I remember double digit inflation under Carter. Gas hit a dollar for the first time under his presidency.

People have no idea what's ahead. :(

I'm not sure he's that naive. I believe he knows exactly what he's doing.

Yeah, it's great that Michele was able to weather all the vicious attacks on her.

The Coleman/Franken recount could take over a month, according to the ACORN endorsed Secretary of State. I'm thinking he will use that time to scrounge up a few hundred extra votes to put Angry Al over the top. Don't be surprised if it happens.

Kimmy, the Dems are actually trying to steal the MN senate election! I just read THIS, and it looks very suspicious and sad.

In other election news under the suspicious category: We have a huge Somali population here. When they were voting, some of the interpreters at the polls were telling them that their votes for Obama wouldn't count if they didn't also vote for Franken. These reports are coming from a Somali leader. Scary.

That is scary! Poeple should have to understand the voting system better than that before they can vote

That frustrates me so much!!! Liberals can only win by lying or cheating, they don't want to run on what they honestly believe, because if they did, they wouldn't be elected.

I've quit listening to talk radio right now. I don't believe that Obama is going to try to be the president of everyone, just the president of the liberal left. At this point, all I'm hoping for are enough senators to filibuster.

I also hope the Republican party gets its act together and gets some fresh young voices like Bobby Jindal. They need to brand themselves as CONSERVATIVES and make it a very clear difference instead of moving towards the middle.

I am SO frustrated with them right now. I'm no longer calling myself a Republican, I'm calling myself a Reagan conservative.

Argh!!! But enough of that. it's too frustrating at the moment. Give me a month or so and I'll be ok until the inauguration, then I'll take a break again and we'll see. If Obama is as bad as I suspect, I likely will be taking a long break from talk radio if only for my sanity

On another note, tonight Andrew and I are going to dinner at the house of some friends that were at our wedding but that I hadn't seen for a few years prior to that. It's going to be fun! I get to bring dessert and have decided to make this:

Very Berry Sugar Cookie Cobbler

2 (12 ounces) bags frozen blackberries, thawed
1 (21 ounces) can apple pie filling
1/3 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 (18 ounces) package prepared sugar cookie dough

Preheat oven to 350°.

In large bowl, mix blackberries, pie filling, sugar and cinnamon. Transfer
fruit mixture to 9 x 13 baking dish. Crumble cookie dough over fruit,
covering thickly and completely. Bake uncovered until cookie crust is
golden and crisp and juices are bubbly, about 45 minutes.

It looks yummy!

Oh, another neat thing...I get to research a ministry opportunity for the women at our church! The Union Gospel Mission has a Women's Outreach and Clothes Closet ministry that is something that I think is really important. They do so much to restore the dignity and self-worth of these women while sharing the gospel and it also gives us the opportunity to develop friendships with these women and to help as God leads.

I'm very excited about this!

Have you ever seen this blog?

http://vanillagarlic.blogspot.com/

He posts recipes and reviews of restaurants in Sacramento.

How have you been doing?

Are you still at the same temp job?

Is your weather warm enough to make me jealous?

I haven't seen that blog before, it looks interesting! He's certainly outspoken and opinionated. I'll check it out more :)

I've been doing well for the most part. My right thumb got infected when I clipped a hangnail too close, so it's been swollen and hurting, which has affected my data entry (among other things. You have no idea how much you use your thumb until it's so painful you can barely use it). It's much better now, but there's still a small lump inside it that should eventually go away.

I'm still at the same temp job, but was told yesterday that it's going to be ending before the end of the year. No set time yet, but the lady I report to will let me know as soon as she knows so I can be ready for it. That's good, much better than other temp assignments :) Once I have an end date, I can let the agencies I'm signed up with know that I'm available again. Prayerfully it won't be too long between assignments.

I'm doing ok with selling Avon, I just did my second order and had 8 people order through me. I'm going to be tossing flyers along with a sample of the new Patrick Dempsey cologne this weekend, and am hoping to get more business that way. I don't think I'll make a living off of Avon, but I'm hoping to earn enough to buy Andrew a digital camera for Christmas and to eventually buy myself a laptop. I did play with my Avon website and personalized it, so I think that helps.

I did have someone from NC order from that site! I don't know how she found my site, if it was from a mention here, but I'm glad she did order :) If you're here reading this, thank you! :)

Yep, the weather has been warm enough to make you jealous :P In the 70s over the past few days, but today it'll only reach 65° or so.

Here's a neat site where you can copy and paste characters such as Ω ♥ ☼ It's very useful!

I was about to ask you how you were doing. I do okay, could be better, but I don't have time to throw books like I should. I make a bit of 'out to eat' money, supply my habit, and my skin is smooth, and I smell good! Love the Anew Age repair night creams!
