.... oh my goodness! DS, Ray, HnS and Ben have me laughing sooo hard!!!

Thanks for the congrats, Trish!

I happen to like country music, btw... I like to get gas at the Shell station.... they sell gas, beer, bait and pump country music to the outside speakers!

I went into the bank today to open an account... and there is an 8pt buck (the head and shoulders) stuffed and mounted right there in the lobby...

Another guys office had a HUGE fish mounted.... lol!

The school books are here! The school books are here!!!

I spent a couple of hours last night figuring up a tentative schedule to help keep us moving forward. The girls are soooo excited! (So am I!)

I also got a library card for our family... the library is very generous in the amount of stuff we can check out....

Oh ... get this... the librarian is from IL (which means she talks normal).... and her sister lives in Bedford, IN (John_O's town!)... how funny is that? lol!

Today I have Christine in the office with me... we stopped at the post office for the mail first.... I saw a lady there from church.... She asked," Do you have a side-kick with you today?" in her southern drawl... I couldn't help it... I responded "I suuurre dooo!" and it came out all southern sounding like!!!

My daughter just about died laughing.... I have noticed that sometimes when I talk.... it's all.... all..... southern drawly like!

Do you guys pick up accents easily?

xxoo

Hey Rach, didn't I tell you at one time that you had an accent? Also, going to the Shell station that sells all that stuff, you are becoming just like a true Texan now!

BTW, I am glad that the books finally showed up as well!

I pick up accents pretty easily. I lost my New Zealand accent pretty quickly.

Oh yeah Trish, I lost my Boston one too although I still live here, go figure.

Good to see you zippin' around the threads, Rach!

My favorite holiday is St. Patrick's Day.

I'm very susceptible with my southern accent. I grew up with one; and when I moved to Jackson, while it never went away, it did diminish somewhat. However, when I went back to Jackson in June, everyone commented on how pronounced it had become again . . . and kept asking me to say certain words and phrases.

Yes Sharon-Marie, but you do not have a very strong drawl though.

Yeah, but you haven't heard me since I've moved to Pigeon Forge, Mike.

It's more noticeable now.

Ahhhh, true true! I do remember the first time that I heard your voice that it did sound a bit more southern.

Yes, true true, where the Buffalo roam! Oh, btw, I was watching a local TV show about Vermont the other night and they mentioned that the State now has water buffalo now of all things.

Had those too. When Joan makes them, the place wreaks for ages! She uses rum essence though, not real rum.

Oh, I make the REAL thing!

Ray, I thought I was the only one with rum balls!

Rach - TOO funny about the sister living in Bedford - John probably knows her.

Glad you're making the transition into life down south (though you're still significantly farther north than me). TX has its own mentality. Cowboy boots and hat are a must, and with your hair and legs - they're perfect!

Life is very tough right now. My solace is knowing God is in control and that nothing happening to me is without His knowledge and approval. I'm in two amazing bible studies that are dovetailing beautifully what I am learning in both. My church is reaching out to support me through everything. I feel greatly loved and uplifted because of them.

Praying for you and the family.

Thanks - I feel like everything I hold dear is being stripped away - one piece at a time.

Can you get it out at the library?

Oh, and a little hint. I couldn't get the first book, but maybe the girls will share the other books with you.

... Hey Trish! Go to bed! Just kidding!

I'm sure I can find it at the library... and if they don't have it... they have a sharing program with another library and I can 'order' it....

___________

The weather was very cool this morning... reminded me of winter coming on! I love cooler weather... I love fall... <3

I'm really digging homeschooling the girls.... we are all learning a lot... and it's fun that I can be silly... or change the lesson plan a little if the girls are getting it....

They love homeschooling too... yesterday, as the girls prayed for our dinner... Christing piped up, "... and thanks God that I got to study four subjects today!"

The only thing they really miss is being able to participate in orchestra... I will have to find out if the middle school here even has an orchestra class....

We've figured out that I need full-time work income in order to be able to rent a real house. So job hunting goes on.... I know God will work out the details... He always does! I just smile when I think that He's already been working on His next plan for my income....

ooooo.... I sent out a 'jail mail' letter last weekend.... and already a few responses are coming back in. I love sending devotionals and letters to inmates... I love the feeling of 'walking along side' them as they journey through this life.... God is good!

.... all the time!

I hope all are having a blessed day.....

Rach, I know this is a funny question, but what do you guys like to eat. Chicken, fish, beef, pork, turkey, ham etc? Pasta? Potatoes? Vegetables? Just trust me, ok?

Yay, the girls are liking home schooling!

How's Dave? Has he managed to get a job yet?

.... lol! Trish... I can't help but laugh.... Okay... we like to eat healthy.... meats: Turkey, chicken, (((fish!))) Veggies: anything!, Salads, etc and fruits

We try not to eat a lot of pasta... but sometimes that's all we have in the cupboard so we thank the LORD and enjoy it.

Dave hasn't found a job, yet... he still has some really rough days... and being able to come home and take a nap in the middle of his work day is a wonderful thing.

The LORD has been keeping him busy with lots of contracting and odd jobs, though.... I think this avenue just works best for him and us.

.

..... My thoughts and prayers are truly with you, too! What are we gonna do while you are spending your time learning and doing fun things with others??!!! (( Go Sharon Marie Go! ))

*****

The weather is absolutely gorgeous today... very cool this morning... but I love it. I saw two bald eagles flying way above me when I was hanging out laundry this morning! (((Thank You, Jesus!)))

Our church is having a Fall Fest on Friday.... the girls and I signed up for the cookie decorating table.... and then later realized we are in charge of making all those cookies for the community to decorate! lol!

So.... I've written down the stuff I need in order to make the sugar cookies... It will probably take a couple of days of baking... but it will be so much fun!

I'm thinkin' it would be cheaper to find a good frosting recipe, too.... (The church will foot the bill - but I wanna make sure I'm spending the money wisely.)

The girls are having a good time with homeschooling... and they are liking their Girls' Bible study group.... that's a cool thing...

Life is good.... very challenging.... but nowhere in the Bible does it say that life is easy if we live for Jesus. It says just the opposite.... that we will endure trials and tribulations....

This earth is NOT our home.... our true home waits for us in heaven!

Love you guys!

Rach
