rin, this wrap would be my choice for a preemie. It's easy to tie and easy to nurse in. I still use it for Isabel here at home. I've worn her out at the mall when she was real young too.
Sarah also has a great way to tie Moby on too.

That one looks perfect. Thats pretty much how I hold him when we "snuggle" now. He loves it.

I love the Moby too and use it whenever we go to Walmart, the zoo, anywhere we'll be a decent amount of time. I like the New Native better for all the many doctor's appointments and quick in and out places and church, since I'm sitting most of the time.

You don't have to tie the Moby with baby already on you to do that hold either. Just practice tying it. The hardest thing in the beginning is getting the right tightness.

Erin- not sure if you've settled the monitor question or not, but most of the apnea monitors I've seen are somewhat portable. Assuming its the one where he wears the monitor on his foot, the actual monitor is about the size of a shoebox and not horribly heavy. I know someone who has her baby's in a sort of carrying case with a shoulder strap so she can just carry it like a purse to move the baby around.

I havent seen the monitor yet but I've been told it has a "belt" that goes around his chest. The foot thing sounds like a pulse ox....his main problem is heart rate drops so it will need to monitor his heart beat. They said it came in a "little purse."

We used the Soft Structured from Ryanne today and she did great.

The only reason I took her out was for her to be held by her Daddy b/c she was jumping to get to him.

I froggy'd her and she loved to look around but was still facing me, which I liked. She can even turn her head away from the sun. In the sling she can't, she's pretty confined in there int he position we do right now.

She did great

That's awesome, Brandy!

Erin ... the pulse ox meaures the pulse AND oxygen sats, so conceivably you could use that. Are they actually keeping him on full telemetry?

I'm not real sure...I've just been told "a monitor." We'll be trained on it on Monday, but they've described it as a "belt" that goes around his chest and a monitor in a "purse." They've had the pulse ox off him for weeks, he keeps that level at 100 or so, even when he drops his heart rate. Usually he brings himself out of a heart rate drop and isnt having them as often, but its more precautionary for when/if he has problems when he outgrows his caffeine level.

I'm wearing my baby!! (Please disregard how awful I look, someone had a tummy ache last night and just wants to be held.)
Mommy Wearing Isaac
Not sure I have the tension all right or him postioned right. He is asleep but keeps wimpering and grunting...part of that is a normal thing and part of its because he doesnt feel well...just makes this mommy nervous.

He looks fine Erin, all cozy and comfy.

The only thing I make extra sure of is how her feet are when I wear Isabel in the wrap. I want her feet tucked just right so they don't get uncomfortable.

also make sure you pull one of the waist bands up around baby too....Jack nearly fell out the side once because I didn't do that...I barely caught him.

Erin, I was thinking that wearing Isaac would be really good for him 'cause it puts him in the fetal position -- all scrunched up.

You guys look great, Erin!

I've been wearing Lydia in the knock-off Moby my mom made and she loves it. When she's awake she likes her head out and kind of hanging back. Her head is still supported but it looks kind of funny- she just likes to see what's going on I guess!

Erin, that's such a sweet pic! Isaac looks totally warm and cozy! I'm sure he's happy in there.

I'm glad they are taking it down, it was definitely one of the few ads that has ever offended me... I know there was a huge outrage on TBW, they all(myself included) wrote letters to J&J.
