Hi Gralan, good about the RV, but sorry about the no money. I am having constant bills myself these days. I am not really sure what to do about it right now, but with the good Lords help, I will think of something.

And sometimes that is why you have so many brothers and sisters so that we can think of things too perchance... if we were invited... you know, if you needed ideas... but I'm not saying that you don't have ideas... ahh

I'll stop while I'm ahead. Wait, I stopped smoking that stuff a long time ago. Now what am I gonna say!

Uff dah, Uff dah, Ollie and Sven, can't get a break since I don't know when... (sung to the tune about Oompas, Charlies Chocolate Factory)

My church is presently doing Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University. I did not attend though because I have been listening to Dave Ramsey for a couple of years now and already know his principals. In the end his teaching basically said that I do not earn enough money and to go back to school. I kinda lost my interest in him after that.

I have not listened much to Dave Ramsey although enough to peg that he wasn't talking about people like me.

I'm going to Theological School but that's for my own interest, and it was so inexpensive I couldn't pass it up. At my age, I'd love to be working a small mission church but the schooling is to help me have some disciplined direction with my studies. I've been all over the Bible and back again doing studies, but not anything directive longer than 6 months.

Now I'm pursuing a bachelors in 2 years. Whew. But it keeps me busy, especially since I don't get around much anymore; I'm falling apart quickly. I was not kind to my body for several decades and I'm only 50!

Enough of true confessions for now. Peace Brother.

I am planning to go back to school myself at some point, however I feel like my life is like a sinking boat where I keep on taking a pail to dump the water out, but the water comes in faster than I can get it out, but anyway.

Dave Ramsey does have a good plan, its just that I cannot follow it right now.

My schooling for two years is costing me a little over $200.

That's what I meant. Its online unless you live near one of their campuses.

Ahhh, it would cost me over that amount for one class alone. I know I need some type of education but do not know where to fit it in, much less afford it. I know there are student loans, but still.

Still, now that I'm back in the South I can tell you that a still can be one way to make a little cash if you have it set up right.

You can only legally make 99 gallons though, or less if there are local restrictions.

I don't think a still would be up Mike's alley, where would he hide it? He lives in an apartment.

Hi guys,

Just checking in for a minute. Need to get some reading done and get the kitchen in order.

If you went back to school what would you study, Mike?

I have been thinking about auditing a class at the university--I would not have to pay anything to audit. There are no credits given but also no papers to do and no exams. My kind of school.

My father made wine and beer. I did not like either one.

I have tasted moonshine. It was awful.

I am with your wife, gralan, no camper van living. Keep the Rv.

Evening Rach. What's up?

Hi Patricia,

Id probably go back to school to do with some type of computer technology, whether it was IT, support, setting up computers, troubleshooting, etc.

I pretty have at least temporarily on broadcasting, but if things change in the future, then I could do it as a hobby instead.

Just popping in to say "Hi" to Particia and friends. It's been a busy weekend and start to the week, so that's about all I have time for at the moment.

Y'all have a great day!

Well then I better pop back in again... I have decided my brain is fried, I simply can not think anymore during this work day. Good thing there is only about 30 minutes of it left for today! I worked through lunch, so I will be done at 4 .

I got to spend all day Sat. and half the day Sun. with the grandkidlets. They are so darn fun. A little wearing sometimes on this ol' gma, but still fun. We went shopping, played, watched TV a little and then gma got to have a "sleep over" at their house, lol.

DDIL, her sister and Mom were out of town, going to a Bon Jovi concert lol, and DS1 was working on laying ceramic tile on the floor of their kitchen (don't know why he thought it would be hard to do that and watch the kids too ), it's not quite finished yet but getting there. It looks so nice! They have the beautiful new oak cabinets in now too. Ha, before ya know it all the appliences can be removed from the living room and put in their proper place in the kitchen. What a concept! I have to feel sorry for my DDIL, living in a "construction zone" with 2 young children isn't fun!

Hi y'all

Just been home a while. Work went well today. But it usually does. I really like my job so going to work is quite pleasant. Am I not one blessed chick-a-dee!?

I remember both my granmas. One was rather stern but I loved her and spent a lot of time at her house. She was a devout Catholic and I always went to church with her. If you were at her house on Sunday or a holy day you went to church! No arguments and no complaining! She loved the movies and we would go quite often. The first movie I saw at a theater was with her, we saw Lady and the Tramp.

My other granma was a bit more relaxed. She taught me to crochet and play cards. This granma liked to go downtown to shop and we would have lunch at Higbee's. They had a special for kids that had special kid dishes.

Have you ever tasted moonshine, Lisa. It is awful!

How is your wife , gralan? Everything ok?

Nope, Patricia, no moonshine for me. I'm allergic to it...it makes me break out in felonies and misdemeanors.

Diva, I can hardly wait to be able to take my granddaughter shopping and out to lunch . Not to mention make up and stuff. I have lots of "girl days" planned for the future.

I remember some very special movies and fancy lunches with my Mom, having boys kinda quashed that for me , so now I'm going to make up for it with my granddaughter!

My grandson is also my favorite "date", but he isn't so much into girl stuff, lol. We go to movies about "ocean creatures" and stuff...

I'm glad you like your job, for the most part I like mine too. However I do look forward to being able to retire and spend more time doing the things I like to do - like quilting, reading, walks & bike riding and, of course, shopping & lunch dates .

My wife it turns out has a staph infection. When I was working for the Department of Health of New Mexico as a supervisor, I had a long term staff infection until that employee quit.

Sorry.

It was quite the circus today, so nothing got done regarding the CamperVan. By the way, we are keeping both and not moving permanently into the van. But, the RV will become more of a MasterBedroom with a large walk-in closet, on wheels. Ha! Who says we can't be flexible.

Aside, our sleep number bed won't fit into the Van.

I love kids, and I loved being my grandma Anderson's grandson. I have cherished memories of her; including watching the Ed Sullivan show with her and her watching Superman with me in the morning. I'm glad she's in heaven. She babysat my sister and I for two years (63 and 64).

I remember she caught flies with her hands, like boiled eggs served in an special vase, homemade lemonade (LA - tree was in her backyard), reading the Bible. These special memories still impact me. My sister says for her as well. So I recommend building that relationship all grandparents.

So far we do not have grandkidlets, but hope they come down the road aways.

Peace He gives to us, but not as the world gives. Thanks be to God.

Flexible is good. and sometimes necessary!

I also have good memories of my Grandma on my Mom's side - Grandma on my Dad's died before I was born, and both Grandpa's died when I was very young, I don't have much memory of anyone other than Grandma G. She lived with us for a few years before she died and even though I was still fairly young those memories are precious. I try to make sure I am making good memories for my two and hopefully will have many years left to keep them coming!

I'm looking forward to summer to set up the swimming pool again, so they can come over to Gma's and swim . I'm thinking it's about time for another "date night" with my favorite guy too, it's been awhile since we went to a movie together. But then one can only watch the "ocean" movie so many times... and that is the one he always wants to go to! I wish the Omnimax would get a new version of Ocean/Sea Creatures/Whatever!!

Hi! Yep I am here for a few minutes. Been crazy with stuff that I have put off and now can no longer put off.

Not sure why I just do not get things done--once upon a time I was right on top of things. But none of it is brain surgery so if I do not get it done lickety split--nobody dies or anything.

It is going to be 75* tomorrow.\o/I am going to get some walking in for sure. Of course that means something else will not get done

Do y'all get all spiffed up for Easter? I think maybe the dressing up on Easter may be a fading tradition. What do you think?

Its been a long time since my sisters got new dresses for Easter, even when they buy them. As a kid I remember getting new shoes, or a new suit, new tie or shirt, and butchwax for Easter.

I remember a lot of hats too, only the women wore them indoors. I think that was because some of those hats weren't really hats but were pinned on to keep from falling off.

Maybe one of the ladies here could let me in on that secret? I don't know that its a bad tradition to get a spring/summer outfit at Easter. Makes as good a time as any. IMO.

I keep threatening to eat Rabbit for Easter, but I am having a hard time with getting myself to eat something akin to rodents.

BTW, it's supposed to be the last wet weekend for a while here in TX. I've heard that before. I'm glad we caught up from our drought though.
