Is it gonna rain too?

It's supposed to be 52 here and mostly sunny today. I think I'll be going on a walk this afternoon!

Pretty much. It spit a little bit when I was coming into work, but nothing right now. It's just nice and cool. If I had a screened in porch I would sit in it snuggled in a blanket reading mah new book and drinking hot chocolate with Trans Siberian Orchestra playing in the background.

Oh, that does sound cozy! Too bad you have to work, huh? I am going to miss the coziness of winter.

I know.

I'm putting my wedding dress up on eBay this week and my mum wanted me to have one of the guys in my office wear it and pose for pictures. How's that for a conversation starter??? LOLOL!!!

One guy said if he got a part of the cut he'd do it.

Some guys will do anything for money! So. . . the question is, are you going to let him?

I don't know. It's tempting. But my dress was preserved after the wedding and is all nice and neatly packed up. All I'd have to do is wrap it up and mail it. If I had someone model it, I'd take the chance of something happening to it in the process.

Yeah, it's probably not worth the risk or the hassle, but it sure would make for a great photo op!

I know, right?

I'm also selling my wedding/engagement ring set. And my dishes...LOL I found some dishes I want but I have to sell what I have first to get those.

I bought new dishes and sold my old ones on Craigslist. Within one hour of posting them, they were sold. It was crazy! I'm guessing I should have had the price a little higher.

That's encouraging! I'll have to post mine soon. I have no idea how to do it though. The dishes weren't cheap (they're Longenberger pottery) but I don't want to gouge someone either.

*sigh*

Good Will or Water Front Missions is so much easier but I do need the extra money to buy new dishes.

If you're going to use craigslist it's very easy. I've never listed anything on eBay so I don't know anything about that. You could maybe browse eBay and Craiglist and just look at the prices of similar dishes. Mine were just Pfaltzgraff and I sold them for $60. Probably should have started at $100, but oh well . . . Good luck! I hope they sell quickly for you. What are the dishes that you want like?

These are the dishes I want. It's not a bad price either IMO. 64 pieces for $250.

Use the advanced search funstion and chose completed listings, put in your search term, that will show you what similar items sold for in the past 30 days.

I love them! I like the contrast of one plate being square and the other round.

THESE are my dishes. I have five place settings in the linen color and five in the chocolate brown. It's like that line from "Sleepless in Seattle". . . "eight's too few, twelve is too many" or something like that.

Oooohhh...those are pretty!

I like my dishes because they're not too feminine that a man would be too weirded out to use them, but they're feminine enough to decorate around. You know?

I completely know what you mean! I really like mine, except the cereal/soup bowls and the mugs are just huge! When I brew a 9oz cup of coffee in my Keurig it only fills the mug to between 1/2 and 2/3.

I wonder if you could find those dishes anywhere cheaper. We used to have a Pfaltzgraff outlet here, but it closed. Maybe there's one near you? It's especially cheaper for all the accessories. That's where getting new dishes gets pricey.

I don't know...I haven't looked around. There might be one in Foley Alabama. I'll look around and see. I'm going to Mobile Alabama in a couple of months so I can pop over to Foley and look around. That would be handy and I could find coordinating dishes to go with it.

Yeah, it's definitely worth checking out!

OK. . . I'm off to clean my basement. It's my last day of my seven day vacation and that's the last thing left on my to-do list. There's a reason I left it for the last day. Bye for now!

Oh, poor Tink!

Wow. . . I'm just having a blast in my basement throwing stuff away/recycling it. Just recycled my Statistics book from college. The only good thing about that was Kevin Bailey. :: wonders whatever happened to K.B.. . . . off to search fb ::

Dang it! Missed the break!

It's fun going through memory lane. Sometimes...LOL I will say I am forever grateful to fb; even if just for talking to people I haven't seen in years.
